Article Submissions

Guidelines for Submitting Articles to NAGIA

The National Alliance of Gang Investigators Associations maintains a library of articles on gang-related topics on this website, and accepts submissions of articles from qualified authors.

Articles must be original, carefully reasoned, and well documented. All aspects of youth gangs are suitable topics. Examples of relevant topics might include East Coast Gangs; Chicago gangs; female gangs; or related areas such as gang prevention, intervention, suppression, or prosecution strategies, or current research findings.

The following guidelines should be followed when submitting material for consideration for publication:

  • Articles should be submitted in a MS Word document, preferably 10 pages or less, with simple text formatting. Include contact information (name, agency, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address) and brief biographical information on the author/co-authors.
  • If the article is copyrighted, be sure to contact the copyright holder for permission to use the material. Please notify NAGIA if the article submitted is copyrighted.
  • Images should be .jpg format only and of medium quality compression.

NAGIA reserves the right to edit articles before publication. NAGIA cannot pay for published articles and cannot guarantee that your article will be published. If your article is published, NAGIA will contact you prior to publication. If you would like the article to include a hyperlink to your website, please include that information and the URL with your article.

Please submit articles to james.keeble@ocfl.net.
